Barbara Braffman, M.D.
Certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1989, Dr. Braffman specializes in Body and Breast Imaging including image directed breast interventional procedures.
Dr. Braffman received her M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center where she served as chief resident during her final year. A member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societes, Dr. Braffman completed her fellowship in Ultrasound, CT and MRI at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.
A principle and co-author of articles in professional journals, Dr. Braffman has also presented original research and has participated in academic conferences as both faculty and guest lecturer.
Dr. Braffman has held academic positions at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center. She served as vice president of the New York Metropolitan Mammography Society and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Weill-Cornell Medical Center.
