X-Ray/Fluoroscopy
Radiography and Fluoroscopy involves the use of X-Rays to identify healthy or abnormal conditions within the body. This is one of the most direct methods for detecting causes of certain health problems and checking on your progress.
Your examination will be taken in either an upright manner or with you lying down in a horizontal position, depending upon the X-Ray procedure to be performed. You will be instructed to hold your breath while the X-Rays are being taken (any movement will blur the image). Some examinations require the taking of several films. If this is the case, the technologist may reposition you for additional views. Exams usually take 30 to 60 minutes, however the time may vary significantly depending on the nature of the study and other factors.
