FFR-CT (HeartFlow) is better than CT Angiography for assessing heart disease outcomes

A new study in the Journal of Radiology shows that fractional flow reserve CT (FFR-CT) is significantly better at predicting the long term effects of heart disease as compared to CT coronary angiography (CCTA). In particular, researchers found a positive FFR-CT was significantly better at predicting myocardial infarction, death, revascularization procedures and major adverse cardiac events as compared to a positive CCTA.

At East River Medical Imaging we are proud to offer FFR-CT (HeartFlow) to our patients undergoing a CT coronary angiogram. For more information please contact Drs. Decorato or Duke.
