• High frequency linear probe
  • Optimal field of view

Normal Appearance

• Thins as goes distal
• Proximally less than 4 mm
• Fascicular architecture

Pathology

• Fasciitis
  • Hypoechoic
  • Thickened (> 4mm)
  • Loss of fascicular architecture
• Tear
  • Partial/full thickness
    • Fluid (anechoic) extends into the tear
