Hysterosalpingoram

A Hysterosalpingoram is a fluoroscopic (video x-rays) examination of the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes after instillation of iodinated contrast.

Preparation:

  • A hysterosalpingogram is optimally performed one week after menstruation but before ovulation.
  • Please avoid unprotected intercourse prior to the procedure.
  • Advil or Tylenol (if tolerable) may be taken prior to the examination to mitigate discomfort during/after the procedure.
